UNO Tarot Reading for LGBTQIA+ Folx

First things first: *air hugs* 🌈🫂 

Today I asked my UNO tarot for guidance around taking care of ourselves after what happened in Colorado over the weekend. It was really hard to edit down my 10 minute video to a 90 second Reel, but maybe I’ll throw the full thing on YouTube at some point. 

There are a lot of things to say about this and there are a lot of ways to navigate our grief, anger, and everything else we’re feeling. When I don’t know what else to do, I turn to my tarot for help. So, this is only one way to navigate our feels, and I hope it helps whoever needs it. 🖤

We got an UNO Arcana. We got the +2 and it’s green. 

The green is Pentacles and I always read Pentacles as the body. And do, I’m gonna take this as our first piece of feedback, which is tending to our physical being, our body. And most times I find that this is about making sure that we are tending to our baseline self-care needs. Sleeping, eating, drinking water are, like, the main baselines. 

The Earth is the element that pertains to the Pentacles, which is one of the logical suits, but it’s a very gentle kind of logic. And when I think about Earth, I always think about grounding. And so the way I would apply this to moving through our feelings during this time is, if we’re not sure what to do next, let’s think, “Well, what is the next thing I could do that would be taking care of myself in a gentle way?” Or, “What is the next thing I could do to take care of myself in a way that will help me feel grounded in this moment?” 

The intention I’ve applied to the +2 is that there is a little bit more work to be done. I’m kind of vibing this as more of a time thing and less of a like, “do the work” sort of thing. Grief is not linear, and it’s a long term thing, not a short term thing.
