#1: Accessibility

UNO cards are accessible in a variety of ways. For people who read tarot, they’re cheap, you can find them more easily in a lot of different stores and online, and if you’re a low key witch, you can keep these UNO cards around as tarot and no one will even know what you’re using them for.

For people who are receiving a reading, they’re usually more comfortable during the reading because they’re familiar with UNO and there’s no imagery on the card that might scare them. It lends itself to a deeper reading because, since they’re more comfortable, they’re more likely to engage in a dialogue that helps the reader interpret the cards specific to this person’s situation.

#2. The Minor Arcana

The UNO tarot deck is mostly Minor Arcana cards. All the cards with colors and numbers are the same as all the cards with numbers and suits. The Minor Arcana focuses on everyday life, which is what most people are coming to a reading for. You can pull feedback from the numerology, from the color that correlates with a suit, as well as the element that is associated with the suit. I love this because the person who is receiving the reading gets to leave with tangible solutions that apply to the circumstance that they’re coming to the reading for.

#3. The UNO Arcana

The UNO Arcana includes the remaining cards that don’t apply to the Minor Arcana. This would be the stop, reverse, plus two, wild card, and wild card plus four. The UNO Arcana is obviously unique to the UNO deck, so it offers unique solutions that aren’t available in other decks. I applied my own meanings to these cards and I invite anybody else to do the same, too.
